The spacious accommodation can sleep up to six guests and is just a short walk to the village pub and everything that Docking has to offer.

Outside the enclosed courtyard garden and patio area is a lovely spot to sit and enjoy your morning cuppa all year round. Then in the warmer months you could fire up the BBQ and cook up a feast. It’s the best way to end the day after a trip to one of the nearby beaches.

Area Overview

Docking is a pretty village with excellent local amenities, and makes for a great base for those who would like to get out and about exploring coastal and rural Norfolk. It’s only 9 minutes in the car to the stunning Brancaster beach and the entire glorious North Norfolk coast is just a short drive away.

If you are a foodie and eating out is your favourite thing, you are truly spoilt for choice. There are so many quality restaurants and delis, both on the coast and inland too, including the award-winning Duck Inn at Stanhoe just a short four minute drive away. Other local highly rated gastro pubs are, The Gin Trap in Ringstead, The Orange Tree in Thornham and the award winning White Horse in Brancaster. Docking also has its own pub (the dog friendly Railway Inn) which serves food and offers take away. Or why not try Dockings own fish and chip shop on the high street. As well as the local Spar in Docking, there is also the village farm shop in neighbouring Bircham Newton or Thornham Deli. Or how about a wine tasting at the local Burn Valley Vineyard.

There’s always plenty to see and do, from water sports, fabulous beaches (Brancaster, Holkham and Wells-next-the-Sea) and country houses (both Sandringham House and Houghton Hall) are close by. Enjoy lovely walks on the Peddar’s Way and North Norfolk Coastal path.

There is so much to do close by, from day trips to Holkham Hall, shopping in Burnham Market, bird spotting at RSPB Titchwell, seal spotting from Brancaster beach, golf on one of the local courses (if you are lucky one of the two Royal golf courses,) visit Norfolk Lavender Farm, stand up paddle boarding in Burnham Overy or take a fishing or sailing trip from Wells next the sea.

For families with young children there is a lovely park complete with children’s playground, swings, slides, zip line, tennis courts, basket ball courts, cricket pitch, football ground. and bowling green in Docking, or how about some crabbing at Burnham Overy Staithe or fossil hunting along the Deep History Coast Discovery Trail.
